If your carb hasn't been replace I would recommend you take it off and have it rebuilt. possible the mixture is not rite..

Trash the carb, especially if it's the original. I had a 79 and and 83 pickup. The 79 had a 20R, and the 83 had a 22R. Trashed both carbs and installed a 32/36 Weber on both...bolts on with the supplied adapter. A whole lot smoother running and a lot simpler to adjust. But if you insist on keeping your carb, go the easy route first and replace all the vacuum lines. Check your fuel and air filters. It may not even be a carb. problem to begin with. And if you find out it's not a carb. problem...heck, trash the carb anyway...you won't regret it :).

I have a 1980 Celica w/ a 20R. I have plenty of fuel to the carb but none getting to the bowl. Ideas? Solutions? Quick fix?

re 20r: stuck float needle? pull the bowl and take off the float and remove the needle. it stuck and full of crap? oh yeah, be careful, if you bend the float adjustment it can be hell to get it right untill you learn the knack. Good luck
