Save the money on the spoon bar, and get something just as good, but cheaper.

Rear speaker mounts can be purchased at the dealer for like $40

No, the ST rear mounts to the lower shock mounts unlike the Si bar that mounts to special holes in the LCA's. Lower rear tie is a good idea with a large rear bar.

Jeg's has the rear only for $100 or so

The open hole on the top of LCA is for the stock rear sway. For the ST rear install you must remove the lower shock bolt & bust off the welded nut. Then install a new bolt in the opposite direction of stock, install bracket to bolts. The connects to the adjustable bracket. For the other brackets, those mount under the rear tow hooks with new bolts. Very simple install & adjustments.

ok cool i'm looking it at it in my jegs right now. 3 more things i gotta bug you with. 1 will this clear my exhaust 2 1/4 inch 5 zigen (bend like stock). 2 says only for models with front sway mine STD has none is this a problem? 3 this one is extra dumb but just wanta double check. If i order some aftermarket SPC LCAs (only like 2lbs) will this cause any probs? thanks a bunch!

Exhaust pipe clearance shouldn't be a problem

Muffler may be an issue, My stock muffler/heat shield rub once in a while.

I'm not sure why it says to use only with stock front sway, but my guess would be the induced oversteer. On a FWD with no front sway & large/tight rear sway, the car can become very unstable at high speeds. Usually resulting in snap oversteer, which takes a highly skilled driver to recover control - most of the time your along for the ride. No front sway & large sway is a good autocross set-up, I suggest learning the new feel of your car before taking some high speed turns.
The LCA won't cause any problems but really don't do much besides weight savings & looks. The bushings are better than stock which helps in handling.

*bows* thank you tons! Last thing I swear to you! High speeds means what like 100+ or 60+? I'll ask about the front sway bar later LOL!

so if I go an order a rear lower sway bar, will it come with all the mounting hardware and stuff? or will i just get a bar? and there will be the mounting brackets under there already??

and what about a front lower sway bar? can i get one of these too??
and what do i have 2 do to install it??

It's cool, I'd rather answer suspension related than some of the other posts I see & reply to. I kinda feel sorry for those people . . . :eek7:

High speeds - straight line 100mph - switching lanes for instance
Turning +/- 60mph - entrance/exit ramp speed

so if I go an order a rear lower sway bar, will it come with all the mounting hardware and stuff? or will i just get a bar? and there will be the mounting brackets under there already??

The ST rear bar or front/rear combo comes with everything needed to install the REAR - bar, brackets, bushings.
There are no brackets unless the car came with a rear sway stock. The ST rear brackets mount under the tow hook on either side of the car & lower shock mounts - as seen in the pics I posted.
The ST front bar requires use of the old stock sway's bushing brackets, other kits may come with new brackets. Should be able to get for cheap, I'm not 100% sure if the front will be a true bolt on like the rear. I'll have to look @ my Si tomorrow, then I'll know for sure. I can't picture the frame/control arms in my head right now.

I DID NOT like the handling with both(front rear) ST sways, I use the stock front w/ poly bushings & upgraded end links along with the ST rear usually set on its tightest. Larger front added more understeer, voided the whole purpose of the rear.

You don't need to call a sway, lower sway, since lower is the only place you'll find sway bars. Tie bars are completely different but can be upper or lower.

****if at all possible I suggest welding the rear brackets to the frame. That way you reduce the chances of frame tear, which adds to one more thing. Use a rear lower tie.

ST makes a rear tie/sway combo called Speedtech Competition, slighty more - $350

Get an si tranny and do a mpfi swap along with an intake. That 4spd tranny is really slowing you down.
