Hey..
Not as I know.. Im working on a new engine my self at the moment, for my Evo6 TME..
It will be some between 600hp and 700hp in the engine!
But I know a company in England are working on a 800hp engine at the moment! A company I talked to in Japan has one with 750hp in the engine. and Simon Norris in England claim that he has dyno tested his EvoVII to 771hp in the engine..
So, as far as I know.... Nope.. there are no engine beyond 771hp at the moment!

it's kinda hard to push a 4g63 into over 600 hp range.
forget that-its hard to push any 4-cylinder to 1000 hp.

we have an evo 3 here in NZ by the name of DOCILE, currently running over 800hp (720hp ATW), but when she had 600hp (ATW) ran a 9.5 sec 1/4! also got another evo by the name of RIPUUP with full tube chassis, aiming for over 900hp and low 8 sec 1/4s :D

she had 600hp (ATW) ran a 9.5 sec 1/4!
How very sad that is. There is a guy in a Eclipse runing an 8.769 and he is under 600whp. Y is it a problem to get these cars in the lower numbers?

when you get up in the higher hp range, it's all about the tuning.... which many people regretablly forget to do. spend 20k on the engine, ends up going slower than b4... that must suck.

it is POSSIBLE. after the norris car blew the piston the owner simon was considering going balls out on the engine and taking it to about 950bhp, but decided against it for reliability's sake.

this is probably sa thouch off topic but the GM ecotec engines can push 1000 HP on stock internals... just my .02

yeh but that ecotec wont make it to the end of the street without blowing something.

Also the ECOTEC has a tnedancy to spin the lobs off the cam shaft. So im assuming the engineers did not do much engineering when they built the car. Just based on that i would never own one.

even if you have to rebuild the engine after every run, 1000HP on stock internals is impressive...let me say that again, STOCK INTERNALS. that's quite the engineering accomplishment when out of the factory the engines are only putting out ~200HP

My engine is basicly an JUN Auto 2,2L engine.
Built in Japan with Jun Auto.
There is also something going on at www.rcdevelopments.com
They claim a 800hp engine is under development!
I also found some links on TUNINGTRACKER (http://www.tuningtracker.com ), under Japan. There was an company that had one 750HP drag car!
So there are some crazy dudes around in the world..

ecotec motors lose the stock rods around 280hp.
not sure where you got the BS 1000hp claim.
i was going to mention the norris-designs cars, but you got to it already.
consider that you still don't need as much hp as a supra/skyline to get down to those times...
you can do with 500hp what a supra/skyline would need 600+ to do... ;)
