I read the whole how-to primera man had posted. I need to know one thing : Where do I buy 600, 800, 1000, and 1200 Grit Sand Paper? Which brands?

tamiya makes #240, 320, 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1200, 2000 grit sandpaper. ;)
Ya know HLJ is the main source ;)

for more fine grit such as #2000 or above , you can try "3M". They make #2000, 4000, 8000, and 12000 grit sandpaper. They come with 3 sheets and in the same size as tamiya. However, the price is more than double of Tamiya.

Don't use sandpaper use wet and dry.
Your local Car/Auto store will also carry those grades of wet and dry.

I am only 15 I am un-aware of the closest auto stores.

Oh yes, also to add onto the topic. I was wondering, when I wet sand the body. Do I sand the whole plastic body? Or music I sand only the defected parts? And Do I have to put anything onto the body before I sand?

Use the white/yellow/pink pages or check the 'net to find your local auto store. Wet and Dry paper can be used to sand a surface dry or can also be used wet (with water) to provide an even smoother finish. The water acts as a very mild cutting compound, also helps clean the paper and the surface you are sanding and, lastly keeps the surface cool (acts as a coolant). Most auto stores (Super Cheap or Autobahn in Australia) will stock grades up to 12000 grit and even some hardware stores (Bunnings in Australia) have 5000 grit wet and dry paper available. Hope this helps.

lol, dw about sanding unless its panel lines, and when u do that, work it off, then use super fine wet/dry (wet sand paper basicalyl, just add water) to get rid of the scratches, but imo, u don't really need to sand all over.... that just added scratches to my model.....

if u really need the paint to stick, use primer

I think they pretty well laid it out for you, sand the model under running water nothing else required, the water acts to lubricate and removes the sanding particles. Wet sanding can also be done on the first few coats of paint to remove and dust, dirt or other defects

this is not a true statement if you are using the correct grade of paper, if its leaving visible scratches your paper is to rough.
