I recently had a remote start and alarm installed in my 2003 z71 suburban and am having trouble with the remote start not working all the time. some times it works fine and other times it just cranks and does not turn over , then if i attempt to start it by key it also does not start until i guess the brain resets (10-15 mins.) and then it will start by the key . The place that installed it changed the brain twice and it still does the same thing . Does anybody have any answers because the alarm place dont. THANKS

Yep, I mess with these GM trucks and remote starts all the time. Not sure what brand you have but sounds to me that the Passlock alarm on the truck is the problem. Well, actually the bypass that they used is the problem. Verify that the security light is not lighting up when this condition occurs.
I did one last week that I had a simular problem. I kept checking and checking things out. Come to find out that I had a bad connection to the 2nd ignition wire of which is where I also connected the Passlock bypass to. Fixed that and all was good. :evillol:

No problem, keep me posted. I would like to know what parts they used for the install.
