Cold Air kit For The LS!!!!

We have just finished the design for the cold air kit. It really will be a simple setup with little fabrication involved (taking OE filter box out). Right now they come with a jet coated polished look. Also comes with a new 6" cone K&N filter and hump hoses with v-clamps (either Red/black/blue). This will net an easy 10HP...but the biggest gain will be in the response and gas mileage. The price is at $299.99... If this interests you please feel free to email us at [email protected]

CougarSVT i wanted to ask you about the headers and exhaust for this turbo package for the LS from turbonetics. I know turboneticsw very well from the days i had a buick grandnational. I actually still have an old 62-1 turbo. can this turbo be used in this upgrade from turbonetics. it would save me money if it could be used. please get back to me and let me know
Thanks

I'd really like to know a little more about these turbonetics turbo kits too. I went to the website but couldn't find anything for the LS. Any help?

No one we heard about has been successful with adding a supercharger or turbo to a LS - engine is already >10:1 compression and Ford has not release the PCM code - so you have no control over any of the engine parameters.
McClaren and SVC both tried and failed.

I created my own Ram air kit for an LSV8. I created and had all parts machined. I started with an adapter for the mass air flow sensor. we all know how boxy the intake is. I was able to put on a 9" cone K&N filter and I constructed my own heat shield. It gives a great boost. I also customized a true cat back 3" exaust with a magnaflow 3" X pipe and Double chamber flowmasters. It screames and performs great. Their is also alot more I did. [email protected]

alan - like you I added a ram air - with a hood scoop and custom built cold air box. This thread started with Stephen announcing a 'cold air' kit but he hasn't responded in four months.......

Still here...Please email me and i will send pictures of this short ram setup. We have yet to fit the complete "Cold air" setup but do have a awsome short ram setup that could be installed in one hour with MPG gains of 3 and atleast 5-10HP gains to flywheel.

McClaren and SVC both tried and failed.Isn't this the same V-8 in the Jag XJ-8? Wouldn't a supercharger similar to the one in the XJ-R & a PCM from an XJ-R work??

The codes are out there.....just cost alot of $$$ we dont have right now to spend on the LS.

the codes are not out there - many main stream names have tried - SVC, McLaren, many - many other posers.....
many CIAs have been nothing but a cone filter mounted on the MAF - the 2000-2003 have been more complicated - some very interesting tubing - check out my intake from the LLSOC in my sig.

Awsome LS.....Our tubing is crazy also. About the same except the piece coming off the TB is angled more. How do you like the one you have....gains, noise?
We really dont like the way the (stock) tubing wraps around the motor....we were wanting to fab a scoop behind the grill to cut down on length and the amount of bends. But right now time is against us on moving forward on the LS fabrication.

the sound at WOT is awesome - the actual rwhp gain was 13. the hood scoop and cold air box added another 3.
