Hey all,
My 94 Firebird smells like gas inside, but it does not have a gas leak (says my mechanic and the Pontiac dealer too). There does not seem to be an emissions leak either. The smell is actually intermittent. Sometimes it’s there and sometimes its not... any thoughts???? Please help - I am asphyxiated!
Thanks,
Rob

It's probably the evap canister it's located in the fenderwell on the rear driver side. It's probably gone bad. It stores gasoline vapors and then releases them to be burnt by the engine at a determined time. Could be the hoses going to it also.
