sienfeld vs. friends

in my opinion sienfeld absolutely kills friends, but thats just me.

to me the writing in friends is less mature and goes for more cheap laughs, but siendfeld has the best timing and plots of any tv show i have ever seen. of all of the people i have talked to, half say friends and half say sienfeld, but the half that say friends usually say that they don't understand sienfeld. i guess you need a somwhat high iq to watch sienfeld.



p.s. but my favorite show is family guy

I prefer Seinfeld. It's just a better show. It's comic genious really. I wouldn't say that you necessarily need a high IQ to understand it... Friends on the other hand is a good show, but just not in the same way.

Sienfeld owns and Friends should have died years ago. I hate Friends, and unfortunately it will be in sindication probably 24 hrs a day after it goes off the air.

I like both shows the same. However, if you look at each show: Seinfeld was over before it ended, they overstayed their welcome, and it ended horribly. Friends on the other hand has only gotten better each season the last few seasons, even the critics have said so.

kazzman, maybe you don't remember, but sienfeld ended while it was number one on the neilson ratings. i agree i was excpecting the ending to be a little batter, but "what are ya gonna you"

and i don't think you need a high iq either, just a cut at the people who don't like sienfeld.

I'll agree that they were on top of the Neilson ratings, but what does that really mean. IMO it doesn't mean anything. Look at what the critics and the fans thought of the last few seasons. The episodes were like hit and miss. Sometimes there was a good one and sometimes they were just ok. People just kept tuning in every hoping that it would get better, I know I was. Friends must have just the right ending to the show.

look, this thread is all about opinions, your opinion may be that it got worse as it got to the end, but i think that it only went downhill a miniscule amout. its all good.

even at sienfelds lowest point it was still better than friends.

i think both are okay but seinfield kicks ass compared to friends

seinfeld is hilarious and friends is lame
