help with remote sensor

So i need some help on this one, i have a 1997 honda accord, 4 cylinder and i just installed a bulldog security remote starter rs79 but there is a problem. In tachless mode it starts but the starter never disengages it just keeps cranking. And in tach mode the inside dash lights come on for about ten seconds then the car just shuts off, the engine never even starts or tries to start. What the hell am i doing wrong, somebody please help me out.

Congradulations, you just installed the #1 worst remote start in the industry :banghead: I had a guy bring me 3 of them before we found one that wasn't bad out of the box! Anyhoo, I'd double check the tach signal connection and also verify that you taught it to the remote. That's about it with tach sense which I strongly urge you to use. Tachless mode if you want to use it, change the settings on the remote to either more sensitive or less sensitive. More than likely, you'll have to contact Bulldog and have it repaired

I know with manual cars, the car has to be in neutral to start, don't know about auto's though. which is yours?

and there is no way to change the sensitivity on the remote, just to change it from tach to tachless

Verify what I told you and see what you find. You will have to make sure that you are properly programming it and getting the proper tach. signal. I'd swear that you have a problem with the unit though from what you have stated unless you have programming backwards or something. I have never heard of a RS system doing what you said. They either always crank or don't, no matter what the programming is.
