2.4L Serpentine Belt

I have a 96 Olds Achieva with the 2.4L Engine. Does anyone have any advice on replacing the serpentine belt on it? The old belt broke off and I am having a problem figuring out how to get the new one to fit on. Does the alternator have to be loosened? Do I need to replace the Tensioner Wheel?
