pawn,

Your 17-18 right. That says it all. No hard feelings there kid. Now go learn something.

I found a quote from the muffler expert;

Hold UP hold UP!!!! Scott 02 is hear to help you out my friend....
If you want something mean then tell me just how mean you want it? Do you want something that sounds good and is just soo freaking loud that it will echo like hell under an overpass bridge? You need to look for a muffler that has a small case size and someting that has no chambers or has like one. I really do not recomend Flowmaster just because the experience i have had with putting Flowmasters on 350's makes not power gains and kind of sounds like crap. People think that i'm crazy but what you need is a 16in Glasspack. Think about it...They are cheap, Loud, which will more satisfy your needs, they are not what people think they are, and are a free flowing muffler which means more power along with your nice MEAN sounding noise. It WILL NOT crackle if you use 3 in. piping comming off the glasspack. And i do not want to hear any back pressure BS because its not going to effect it. If that isn't loud enough for you, find someone or remove the cats yourself. Any questions comments, please drop me an e-mail. I will always be glad to help out.

Like I said, go learn something :grinno:

is ur stock exhuast is restrictive the ur car will open up a bit. my stock exhaust piping on my WRX is 2.25" i upgraded it to 3" and notice a huge improvment.

Now let's not be so hard on MAC Products, I have several products from MAC... I even had a MAC cat back system at one time... I just preferred the sound of the Flowmaster's..I am still running MAC headers and H-Pipe..

The MAC cat back is a bit lounder and deeper than the Flowmaster's, the MAC Mufflers sound alot like glass packs to me and were missing the rumble of Flowmasters. The MAC catback did make more power on my Mustang though, about 2 HP more if I recall...

My Mustang Mods are Coast High Performance 347 short block, new b-303 FRRP cam, Ported GT 40 intake and GT 40 aluminum heads, 1.7 rockers, 77mm Mass Air, 70 mm Throttle body, 30 pound injectors, a new 9 PSI ATI Pro charger with intercooler, Mac Shorty Headers, Flowmasters, Art Carr Street/Strip AOD transmission, 3:73 gears...18inch Cobra R Rims and Nitto tires, 5 Lug conversion and 4 wheel disk brakes.

You engine is set up a lot like mine. I run a little more boost with my S-Trim, but you have more cubes.

Sounds like a nice combo you go there.

Plus, I run Borlas:)
