alright i have a 1983 mustang v6 convertable that is pretty much mint. I was just given a 89 mustang 5.0 that pretty much had the ass end ripped off by a semi. I would like to put the v8 into my vert as well as replacing my auto with the stick. I understand this is a straight foward procedure but i would just like to know how my feul systems is going to integrate. Any advice on what im suposed to do for the feul before i start pulling out the moter? The vert is carbed and the 89 is efi. I know it would be easier to just buy a newer 5.0 but i cant realy afford to, i cant realy afford the incurance either for a V8 and newer car. Not only that, this is my first car and was given to me by my grandpa so it has alot of sentimental value. I have access for the tools i would need such as an engine hoist and what-not. And my friend who is very good with cars (just put rx7 turbo engine into an old mg midget, talk about fast!) is going to help me, i just dont want to seem like a complete idiot.
thanks for all your help!

I have never done this swap but you will need to install all the ECM/EFI wiring, computor, sensors, and high pressure fuel pump. You may be better off stripping the EFI intake, etc. and go with a 4bbl intake and carb. You will probably have to install a electic fuel pump,I don't think that engine has provisions for a mech. pump.

for all that you could just buy a beat-up 88 with 100,000 miles on it for about 3k

this is free tho. Then i have to pay v8 insurance. Im thinking i could probaly put a carb on it then to make it easier. All i realy want is that v8 sound and some good torque. If i was gonna build a fast car if wouldnt be a vert.
