words coming out of sub.......please help

I can not seem to get my sub hooked up right ....all that coms out of my 2 12 inch rockford subs is music like a regular speaker can anyone please help me out

the sub has to be hooked up to the low pass of some type of crossover.

yeah, your amp might be on high pass, if it has a crossover, check it out and switch it to low-pass a.s.a.p.

turn on the lowpass on your amp

the amp should have a low pass x over with a frequency setting
i usually set it between 80 and 100 hz
(meaning no frequencys above that are allowed through)

I'd set it according to how your mids are crossed over
