Hello All Happy Holidays

I have a 2000 Durango and I am getting a rubbing/light grinding noise (best description I can come up with) from the front end. A friend of mine said something about bushings that need to be lubed and that it is a fairly common problem with the Durango. Any input on this?

By the way it is an all-wheel-drive.

Thanks
Rich

If its anything like what happened to mine, you might need to look at your steering column... everytime i turned a heard a bump on the right side of the car.

Did you check your brakes? Sometimes the solution is the simplest. Also I'm not as familiar with the awd trucks. Do the front halfshafts spin all the time or only when wheelspin is sensed? Because maybe there's a rip in one or more of your cv boots and they're the culprit.

just bought a 2000 and does the same thing. most noticiable in parking lots or ramps. about drives me nuts. I was told that the front end checked out ok. it needs to go in for the ball joint recall but local dealers are out of stock with them. mine also creaks when you step on the brakes and the front end goes down and creaks when it comes back up. a little worried also, since ive heard of lots of front end problems on these.
