I HAVE A 2002 LEGACY B4 RSK LIMITED, ITS ALEADY ABOUT TIME FOR SERVICE, MY CAR HAS A 20000kILO ON IT, THE DEALER SAY I HAVE TO CHANGE THE TRANNY OIL, ENGINE OIL, REAR DIFF OIL AND RADIATOR COOLEN? WELL IT COST ME AROUND 7000HKD SO I THINK THAT IS CRAZY, SO I AM WONDERING WILL 20000kILO HAS TO CHANGE FOR A TRANNY OIL AND RADIATOR COOLEN?? I AM LOCATED AT HONG KONG, HOPE CAN SOME ONE CAN HELP ME, ALSO DOES ANY ONE KNOW THE FOR THE SUBARU LEGACY SCHEDULE MANTIANCE FOR THE LEGACY EX TRANNY OIL, REAR DIFF OIL, AND RADIATOR COOLEN ? IF SOME ONE CAN HELP FOR MY QUESTION THAT WILL VERY VERY APPERCIATE YOUR HELP.

That is somewhat overkill for just fluids/lubrication replacement. For those who don't know $7000 HKD is equal or close to $1000 USD. A simple maintainace program similar to what you've said would cost at most $800 HKD.

I'm not sure about the cost of oil and other petrol products in Hong Kong. The last time I was there, it was no different from the U.S., except for the price of gasoline.

Though do not take my word for it, HK's labor prices might be expensive for these services.

I know for a fact you can do fluid changes at your own home. But then I'm not sure you have access to a garage let alone the tools.

Cars are somewhat an expensive luxury in HK, so there may be other cost associated with it such as hazardous waste disposal fees, and especially taxes.

You may check around your area for other dealers and compare their costs.

That is in fact overkill. Transmission oil really only needs to be changed around every 60,000 miles. Differential needs to be changed every 30-40k miles.

Engine oil and radiator fluid seem to be within the recommended time period, especially if you've never changed the oil yet.
