i was installing satellite radio for my xmas present and left the battery hooked up and the doors wide open. the battery went completely dead and i had to get a jump. upon doing so my alarm stopped working. its done this before after it was in the body shop and i had to take it to ford who reprogrammed it. if any1 knows how to do it please help me out, as i dont want to drop it off at ford.

On my 1997 Ford Ranger, I turn the key from off to acc 5 times, and on the fifth time, leaving the key in the acc position, the locks will cycle, and then I touch any button on my first remote. I can then touch the button of up to 4 total remotes. That's how I got mine to work. Good luck.

i figured it out for any1 else that may need to do it.

first find the alarm module under the dash on the drivers side and unplug it and let it sit for a min or two to let it reset itself. then plug it back in(at this point the alarm will be going off). once you have it plugged in find the button thats mounted under the dash and press it down and hold. now turn the key to run(once you do that the alarm will stop going off). while still pressing down on the button press and hold lock on the alarm keypad for about 5 seconds til you hear the system beep 3 times. once you do that your done. good luck
that was straight from the guy at the dealer and it worked for my truck.

mine must have just been for the remote access. I have a factory installed alarm, and really needed that information on how to reprogram it. Thanks.
