944 help please

hi

i am thinking of getting my first porsche i am looking at a 944 Lux. 2.7 manual 5 speed. 1989
as the 2.7 engine only was in production for 1 year i was thinking if the engine goes POP is it a straight swap with a 2.5 engine from a 944 or are there a lot of complications like engine mounts in the wrong place etc.

also does the 944 s2 have a turbo fitted??

okay... as far as i know
1. yes the 944 engine will bolt right in...
2. i'm pretty sure the s2 did not come w/ a turbo
