This is kinda pissin me off now. I walk outstide click the alarm and get in and the car wont start. Doesnt turn over....nothing, there is lights and stereo everything works ok just no engine. I get out close the door, lock the car with alarm....disarm it(unlock it) again get in and it starts fine.... Anyone got any ideas, Im thinking its something to do with the alarm...Cuz the car runs fine...I dont think it is the starter cuz it wouldnt just magicly start after clicking the alarm..... I am confused and pissed at the same time. Any suggestions.....

It actually could be the starter. Slamming the door shut could be enough to get it to work. Also, if you have VATS, that system fails a lot. If you have it, does the security light flash?

yes the security light does flash.

yes the security light does flash.

If it is flashing while you are trying to start it then you have an ignition problem. If you have VATS (the chip in key) you could try to clean the key. My guess though is the same thing that happened to my Formula and almost every other GM Vats car with more than 65k miles....the wires in the ignition broke. The only way to fix this is to either pay $75 for a new ignition switch and wait for this to happen again or bypass the unit for good.

To bypass it, get the resistance off the key by using an ohm meter. Then goto Radio Shack and buy a resistor with the same resistance. You might have to buy a few and put them together to get the right amount. Take a look at this below. I had a link that would tell you the codes (resistance) from a number that's on the key.

I encountered a problem involving the theft guard chip built into the key. The metal will wear down until it is flush with the black plastic surround. Scrape a little of the plastic off both sides and see if that helps, then go get a new key, $26 OUch!!! Best of Luck
