1999 - Air Filter

Hey guys, I'm trying to get to the air filter on my Caravan but the case that holds the air filter is sealed pretty good. Do I just pry it apart with a screw driver or do I need to put pressure on the plastic tabs with a screw driver? Any assistance would be appreciated.

I had the same problem what your looking at is not the air filter. unbolt the rectangular piece and then take 3 hoses loose(probably not on tight in first place) then your air filter is underneath that rectangular thing on the bottom right. it is vertical instead of horizontal. This piece has 2 clamps just unclamp and replace. I don't know what that rectangular thing is. I've haven't seen it on any other vehicle some kind of air filter muffler or something. Hope this helps.
PS dont try to take that rectangular thing apart that is not where the filter is!
