Please help me with tweeter installation!

I had tweeters laying in the garage and decided to test them, the problem is they have female connectors, they come with a sort of circuit/resistor type thing. I would post a pic but I am lazy, I will post them later if anyone needs 2 see it.

have you been drinking? You forgot to ask a question. What is this resistor circuit thingy? It is a crossover prolly or maybe a capacitor for blocking low freq.

just hook them up, and turn the volume up slowly until you hear distortion... you should have a resistor on there to block lower frequencies... you may want to put a larger resistor on there is your system is high powered.... best buy sells pairs of resistors for $10 if you want some, or you can do one better and go to radioshack (cheaper) .

how to test them? well unplug a speaker and hook the wire with the capacitor directly attached to postive output and the neg to the other, and if there is sound then they work.
