Hasegawa Lancer Evo III COMPLETED

Hi guys! Ive finally finished my Hasegawa EVO III.This project went together relatively smooth except when i lost the original side mirrors luckily i found a set of replacement out of my bits box which i thought complememnted the car well compared to the original, then to make things worse i droped the car from my work bench and chipped the rear wing, just as well it was just a tiny chip and was invisible once i touched it up.

This kit is highly recomended and is far superior to the Fujimi EVOIII, the parts fit together perfectly!! the only negative i found was the ride height and wheels that came with this kit but there are ways around that and is worth puting the time in to get such a nice looking model.

Thanks again for the encouragement during the build progress, which can be found here http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=155758

Looks hot! Nice clean build. I like how you did the panel lines. It seems like only a few people are doing them now. Very good build.

These are all outdoor pics, it has been a bit overcast, was lucky to get a couple when the sun poped out for a few seconds.

Very Cool, as I knew it would be from the progress thread. Carbon detail and exhaust are spot on.

Nice colour and carbon detail :bigthumb: The "RUF" wheels are looking very good on this car.
Only the exhaust is a bit too big for my taste.

Thats actually to scale, a friend of mine has an HKS Super Dragger system on his EVO III, and i thought i was being conservative on the size LOL!!

Hey, it's looking good!! Your original post inspired me to track down an EVOIII and I was successful in finding a black one..!

About taking pictures outside: overcast days are the best days for taking shots of subjects; it provides the most even lighting, and all you have to do is just tweak your exposure settings and you should have the best picture possible!

Only thing to me though, was that the background seemed to be almost the same color as the CF wing, so it made the top of the wing disappear!

Thanks Clem, Im glad you found one, these Hasegawa EVO III's are getting harder to find,I found another one as well but im mainly using the interior since i want to use it on my Hasegawa EVO IV, my main goal is build all the EVO's.

Ahhh I see what you mean, im still new to this photography thing espcially using digital camera's does that mean i slow down my shutter speed, ive got a digital SLR but im still trying to get used to it since this is my first serious bit of photography hardware.

I thought about puting it on a white background, went for the black instead so the contrast on the body colour would stand out more. all in all im pretty happy with how it turned out even after a few dramas.

Really that little chip on the corner of the wing end plates is still bugging me, I guess because i know its there, i was lucky that it was only that part of the car that was damaged, it must have fallen a good 3 feet off my desk, man i thought it was a goner, theres nothing worse for things going wrong especially when your so close to the end of a project.

How did I miss this??? After reading the build up & seeing the completed project, I'm in awe... I've got an EVO (not sure which one) lying around somewhere at home...I'm gonna have to dig that thing out now :evillol:

Great job!
