qaulity of fujimi supra?

i want to buy this 87 supra and put the 2jz engine into it...but i am not sure if it is a good kit?

Cant comment on the Fujimi kit, but if your worried about quality you can usual get the Tamiya kit of this car on ebay...

Inch Up kits usually have no engine..

This kit is typical of late 80's Fujimi releases...
Simplified, a little soft on details, nothing really bad though.

I'm not sure what you are planning, but the F&F Supra chassis might just fit under this body, though the engine compartment is wider on the earler Supra, though I'm not sure it matters in the scale world.

Personally I'd pick up the Tamiya MK III Supra off of Ebay and use the chassis from the Tamiya MK IV Supra. Though it may cost a little more to go that way I'm sure it would be easer, and the results would probaly be better.

i am planning to put the new F&F supra engine into it from AMT. i may use the new chassis or cut the one it comes with...but am not going to bother with this kit unless the details are good.

I have one of these kits and its not bad its what you would expect for an old Fujimi kit. if you can find a Tamiya one on ebay ita worth spending the extra $$$ if not this is the next best thing, i dont think anybody else makes this generation supra.

I've seen pics of this kit, and compared to the tamiya model, the body seems very "low and stretched". I don't know how better to describe it... I'd probably try to modify the Tamiya kit instead, although b/c it's such an ancient kit, some of the details on the Tam kit are molded in, such as the foglights. Also, the tam kit sits quite high, so it'll need lowering (and it doesn't steer; it rides on axles front and rear, unlike the Fujimi kit). There are many examples of both kits at www.warachan.com. However, if you wanted to model the later '89+ body revisions, then Fujimi is the way to go.

I purchased the Tohge kit. I also own an older version, which has much worst body lines and also missing some from the more recent kit. I had the option for a left or right-hand dashboard. The underside detail is very poor, with the rear end molded in along with a lot of other details. The interior is pretty top notch, compared to Fujimi's recent works like the "New" Integra Type R. My favorite parts will have to be the very detailed 17" rims.
