Hello everybody! This is the first model i´m presenting here on AF and i hope you´ll like it!?;)
I´m not sure, because it´s no Skyline, no Subaru, no Ferrari or Porsche, but just a little Renault 4CV.
The bigger 1:1 example was the first car of my father, he drove in the 1960´s and i made him this model as a Christmas gift.

This was the kit i´ve taken for this:
http://www.arcor.de/palb/alben/61/1561/400_6236383766353666.jpg

Here are 2 pics without the body to see the "engine" :icon16:

http://www.arcor.de/palb/alben/61/1561/3563316665323764.jpg

I painted the car with spray cans. "Mercedes Benz-Brilliantsilber" and a simple black.

The exhaust is made of a small Vein case (hope it´s the right word :eek7: )

The grille and all the trims are made with BMF, covered by a clear coat.

I´m sorry for this pic.I tried to do this with flash, but it was much too bright.

So let me know what you think!? :smokin:

welcome to AF, you have done a really good job on this kit. It kinda resembles a '40 Ford and a VW Bug put together.

 It's great to see something different! :smokin: Thank you very much for sharing it!! :icon16: You've made a very good job on this kit! :p (Heller kits have never meant to me easy builds...) Well, the next time I see this kit at a hobbyshop, I guess I would take it!...

Welcome to AF! I like that kit a lot, and you've done great, especially with that paint job! Congrats :D

I assume you own a Corrado, right? I do too, a blue 1990 US-spec G60.
I clicked that link on your sig, but I can't read a thing in german :)

:) Thank you too, for all your compliments. I´m glad you like it. But the pics really flattering my paint job. :icon16:

@labandabonnot
As far as i know, this Heller-kit is out of production. But if you are interested in this kit, maybe i´m able to get another one here in a little shop for 20€ if they still have it.

@pettercardoso
Well, i think as a Portuguese, you don´t have to read German :grinno:
But your´re right, i have a 94´ VR6 in Aqua-Blue. Here is a link to a Dutch-database where you can find some more about it: Corrado database (http://www.corrado-database.nl/index.php?item=view_corrado&id=520)
You should register your own too! :dogpile:
And here you will find some pics of our meetings in Dresden: Gallerys (http://www.cotred.de/)
You should also take a look at the biggest German Corrado Forum (http://www.vwcorrado.de/forum/index.php)
The board language is switchable to English and there´s also a special Forum for international requests. Just call me when you need help.
I was always fascinated by your avatar! Where did you get this pic? Selfmade?

Thanks for all the info, I really apreciate that :)

As for my avatar, I found this image by accident
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid95/pb0e23fd49e6e2479d08df5a393e0ad08/fa296fa1.jpg

and worked around a little. I used these wheels and brakes (that you can find here: http://vortex3.rely.net/artman/publish/article_311.shtml (http://vortex3.rely.net/artman/publish/article_311.shtml))
http://www.vwvortex.com/artman/uploads/brakes1.jpeg

I'm no imaging expert :D, just cropped and pasted them on...
The avatar is so small that you can hardly notice all the mistakes I've done with it :D

My (to be honest,my father's) Corrado is exactly the same colour as yours, but all stock..for now...:)

Well, i like it. I even thought about painting a model Corrado that way.

All stock? I can see red brakes :loser:
Seems to be the export version with el. seat belts, right?

:eek7: But i still can´t find yours in the database :grinno:

My father lived in the US for 20 years and when he came back, he brought is car, so it's the "all-US spec" Corrado..I'm not really fond of the electric seatbealts, and the engine has only 158 hp..2 less than the european version :disappoin.
Well, you're right, the brakes were painted red... and the rotors are cross-drilled Brembos.
I haven't registered in the database because that's the only picture I have. But I'll register as soon as possible, i.e., as soon as I have a digital camera :D

Do you have any Corrado models? I've been searching for a long time for one..The only thing I came across was a Revell Convertible, but I was told that a couple more were made, even a racing version..I would love!! to build one. I searched HLJ, mediamixhobby and 1999.co.jp but none of them carries Revell, and rainbowten.co.jp doesn't have it...:disappoin
Do you know where I can find it? I can only pay in cash, I don't have any credit cards or paypal account or nothing like that....

That´s absolutely normal. Many VW´s have less HP than they should have. 2 is not that much, i think.

Yes, i do have 2 unfinished Revell Corrados. The Zender Convertible and the "Rally"-Corrado.

I´m going to make a resin copy of both kits. If you like, i call you if i´m sucessfull. But this will last some time.

You can't imagine how happy I am. That "rally" version is exactly what I was looking for. I want that kit so bad..:D I would really really really really love if you made those resin copies. You can email me, just click on the link below..

BTW, thanks..
