I'm new to the Eclipse tuning community, and my goal is for my car to be fast enough to outrun a stock 2002 Camaro SS 6-speed which i think runs from 12.9-13.0 driven correctly. I got the sportronic auto. Is there any way for me to do this without using NOS, forced induction, or serious motor work? Would bolt-ons get me running that fast? Like I said, I'm new to the community so please don't use abbreviations for parts.

I would think some motor work would have to be done.... is this the V6 model? i think you have more of a chance with working on a GT or GTS.
You'd probably need an intake, exhaust, header, cams and gears, under drive power pulley, upgraded pistons and rods, maybe port out your cyclinders. at that time you should be running Low 13's or HIGH 12's.

Yea, it's the V6. I guess to take on that kind of challenger, I guess it would need some motor work. But I think parts for the 3G are hard to find.?

You would have to dump alot of money to get the 3G V6 to run the same times as the SS.
12:1 pistons, forged rods, valvesprings, camshafts, headers, exhaust, port/polished heads, limited slip, lightened flywheel, clutch, and micellaneous electronics, and by removing the weight, you might be able to get to the 13's.
For alot less money, you could get supercharged with the flywheel, clutch, pistons, limited slip, and run 11's.

Do a DOHC head swap with a 6G72 from a 3000GT. That might help quite a bit. I haven't done it before, thinking about it cause it's alot of work... But, but a DOHC has twice as many intake values so you'll definately see quite a fair bit of improvement on your 1/4
