Hi,
Just fixed the gas leak problem on the SI manifold.
Well, i hooked up all the hoses and doubled checked everything.
Started it up took quite a bit of cranking but i finally got it going.
It seemed to idle fine I didnt wanna drive it quite yet.
Anyways, I let it idle for about 5 mins and then shut it off.
I checked my ECU and im getting only one code- Code 4
I know this is for the Crank Angle Sensor
What should i check.
Also, anyone got a good pic or diagram on how to set up the vacumm hoses from a DX to a SI manifold?
Thanks

Yea, i used the SI dizzy.
I followed all the directions as best i could.
The car starts and idles good.
But im still worried about the code 4. :disappoin
The car really smells of fumes and I dont know if this has to do with it.
Any other ideas.
Its the only code im getting.
What could I have got wrong while doing this MPFI swap?
Thanks

Yeah.. Did you use the Si distributor?
There should be 2 extra wires coming off it
Did you used good quality shielded wire for these?
I have heard of people correcting this problem by changing to a higher quality wire from a cheaper one ... I don't know if this was really the fix... or bad connections or what....

Yes, i have also heard of using shielded wires.
Quick question: If the car starts and idles does that mean I can rule out the wire depining in the ECU? Cause thats what Im kinda worried about.
Also, what kind of shielded wires can I use?
Thanks

I searched all the past MPFI swap threads and found someone with the same problem getting a Code 4.
He said the problem was in the B area of the swap. Im assuming he meant moving the B wires to their appropiate locations.
That is the thing I am worried about.
But I doubled checked it and it looked good.
Thanks

Don't know if this will help or not ... as some of the tutorials/howto's are a little confusing.... but this one seems rather well written.
