I found this perfect 1990 325I for sale. Its cheap and the people who own it took very good care of it. The only problem is its auto :frown: So my question is how much would it cost to get a new a manual transmission? Or would I be better off getting one from another older BMW? They only want $1800 which is why I hate to pass this up but if you think its not worth it let me know.

it doesnt really matter where you get the manual tranny from, as long as it has less than 60k miles on it, its ok. the only hard part is the installation, that would be anywhere from $500-$2000 for labor.

I have a friend who has a garge so labor is no problem.
