Hey guys, I got a 2002 Eclipse ( I know wrong forum, but nobody ever goes on teh other one). I'm looking at a AEM CAI, but I"m worried about sucking in water because of the position the filter will be in. Not worried about rain, but what if I washed my car and sprayed water up under the car or in front of the fender wells? Wouldn't that damage the motor? Should I just get the short ram intake?

You will be fine the only way the water will get in the car is if you rev the car like crazy in the car wash.
If that still worries you wash your car at home, and then the car will be off when you are washing it.
But I would not buy a AEM cai, but that is just me, i would make a home depot intake or buy a ebay intake, and then i would buy a good filter. I have a ebay intake with the HKS super mega flow filter on my car.

I'm with him, buy a cheap intake and get a good filter. But why not just leave you 2k2 stock, its a nice car. You will notice NO difference with a intake. If you want a fast car buy a turbo dsm.
