93 s10 Blazer wiper ghost problem

I have a 93 S10 Blazer that sporadically activates the wiper for 1 stroke. I have tried replacing the Printed circuit module in the wiper motor per my dealer's advice, but the problem is still there. I have found that if I wiggle the turn signal handle, it will activate the wipers for 1 stroke, but it doesn't do it every time. I'm thinking there must be a short in the turn signal handle, wiper switch or steering column. I don't want to start throwing money, parts, or time into this problem until I know for sure.

I just realized that I never closed this thread. The problem was solved when I replaced the Turn Signal Switch. No more phantom wiper ghost!

I don't know, but it sure was annoying. Glad that it's fixed.

no it doesn't work.
All it does is cause a smear if you have to use the wipers causing loss of vision at night.

A minor correction. The culprit was the Wiper Switch on the Turn Signal Handle, not the Turn Signal switch. (what was i think'n?) Also, I agree with LT, save the slop (rain ex) for a better use (like your bathroom mirror) and not on your windshield! (what was u think'n?)
