The link above goes to the car that I have taken out a loan on and plan to go pick up next week. The car has been for sale for about 3 months and im wondering if something is possibly wrong with it. I drove it a while back and it seemed fine, I was wondering what I should look for when I go back down there this time. Also, should I take it to a mitsu dealership and pay to have it checked out? Im just wondering because I dont wanna be fooled and get a 7000$ lemon :disappoin

Any time you take it sme where to get "checked out" chances are they are going to find htings wrong with it, thats how they get paid. Buying a used car is always a risk. Use common sense, and you'll be alright.

ahh... the joy of buying a used car... you can check carfax.com for like 20 bucks, i did it on mine after i bought it and found out that there were 10k unaccounted for miles when it was owned by a dealership... also there are 3rd party warranty places... for $1400 i got a 3yr/36k mi bumper to bumper, let me tell you worth every penny... just some ideas to protect yourself... the eclipse looks clean, and the BOV is a small bonus, but it may also ellude that the guy has raced it around for a while... 2 words - test drive and if you aren't the most experienced car guy, bring someone who is, and don't be affraid to ask lots of questions...

Its defently a decent price, but it would scare me that the guy has done the bow and stuff. He probably beat on it pretty hard.
