I got tailgated not angry though.

On Monday, I was driving to Target to do some Christmas shopping. Since my car was in service, my dad let me use his car. On my way, I was on a 4 way intersection. It was my turn to go and I was about to release the brake and all of sudden, Boom!! My car moves three feet foward and my head hits the sterring wheel. Good thing that no one was hurt. Any way after my dad's car got hit, I pulled over to the side of the road plus the driver who who hit me pulled over also. All ready were three police cars were there because they arrested a guy for shoplifting. They asked my if there was something wrong. All I said was we had a small fender bender. One officer just asked for my driver's license, registration and all the other things that are required in an accident. The person who hit me was not a bad person. But one thing that I saw that he a cast on his left leg. He accidently let go of his brake and slipped his foot on the accelerator. Overall, My car got the most damage. I got a cracked bumper which will have to be replaced. Since it was his fault, his insurance company will have to pay for it. My dad is not angry at all. He is just happy that I am all right.

They fucked up the Benz! Ah man, that sux dude. Luckily it doesn't look too bad. But with how bumpers are built now its probably more money than it should be to fix it.

poor car. glad to hear your ok. but dont you guys think that people with such disabilities like that, which could interfere with driving be prohibited from driving? it was a good thing it wasnt on the freeway...that wouldve been more damage on the freeway.

I'd say you got rear-ended not tail-gated. Tail-gating is following someone too closely while driving.

you should try to always keep your cool. it might just make things worse if you dont...you never know if he might have a gun or not. ive heard stories of road rage and not keeping their cool...it got 'em killed in the end. PLUS...you would feel a lot better if you keep your cool compared to when you flare up.

thats a totally different story, if he initiated the fight...dont let yourself be thrown around like a rag. i was also saying that with things like what happened to the car...just let it go. especially on the freeway, people cutting you off and other things like that...i just let it go. its not worth it letting the road rage out and risking the safety of other poeple.

The car got checked today to see how much it would cost. The body shop said it would cost up to 1500 just for a new bumper. But don't worry insurance will cover it.

Damn, good job on keeping your cool man. I got rear-ended last 4th of July while going to the beach to see fireworks. Traffic was stopped but some lady behind me in a mustang was talking on her cellphone and not paying attention. Her foot came off the brake and she ran into me. I got a little screw hole in my bumper from the screw that was holding on her license plate. I was pissed off about that.

Thanks! By the way alot people who live in my area are mostly elders. Most of them cant see well and sometimes fall asleep on the wheel and cause major accidents. I'm used to it because I lived in San Jose for 10 years and probably one of the worst drivers. The one who tail gated me was an 18 year old. That wil hurt his insurance. So if anyone lives in California and drives Highway 101, be careful!
