Whew that was tuff installing plugs

I thought the rear plugs were hard enough on my 93 Plymouth Voyager 3.0 engine but I just changed the plugs on my 98 Dodge Caravan 3.3 engine. The 2 rear driver side plugs can be changed easy enough with the van on car ramps and following the exhaust being careful not to burn yourself but that one passenger side rear plug is almost impossible to remove. Finally got it out the front by removing the black metal plate that stabilizes the alternator and reaching in and feeling your way to the plug so you can get the socket in place,(you can only feel the tip of the plug)and then carefully turn and remove in such a small working area. Then you have to carefully do the opposite making sure you get the new plug back in the hole and being super careful not to crossthread the plug. This took at least an hour on this single plug because I didn't want to screw this up. Wow does anyone have a better way?

Here's the better way....
Simply remove the wiper arms, then the plastic cowel cover then remove the 13 mm nuts holding the whole plastic wiper motor box to the firewall and unplug the connector. Re&Re of this thing takes 15 mins. Then you can change all 3 rear plugs in oh say 10 mins. I do this all the time on 3.3 & 3.8 takes me under 1 hour. Try it next time I;m sure you will find it a lot easier.

Thanks Geoff, I looked at that and thought that would be more work but next time I'll just have to try it! I don't do a lot of serious work on my 4 vehicles but I always get the important stuff taken care of and keep good records when all the service work has been done.
