Boosting an '89 2.8, questions

Hey all ... I'm planning on adding a forced-induction system of some kind (was thinking maybe a KKK K03 turbo?) onto my '89 Regal Custom. Does anyone know how well these engines (2.8) hold up under pressure? Also, will the tranny be able to hold up? (it's a 4-speed auto, just for the record ...) I am already expecting the ECU to freak out when the MAF sensor (I'm assuming it has one) max's out. Could I get away with just unplugging it? I don't want to do much electrical modification, so I'm hoping the stock ECU would be safe to run (with bigger injectors, of course). Any info for "Project Boosted Regal" would be much appreciated.
Also, real quick ... any known suspension upgrades for this car? Just a thought.
Thanks in advance - Dave-O

I don't think that that engine would last very long under pressure. It barely holds together as it is. That and that tranny is not known for it's strength
