Hi
I see that alot of cars need interior part painted semy gloss or satin black. i know you can buy it ready.
at the moment i have tamiya gloss black and also the flat base, can i mix them to get a semy gloss black?, if so what should be the ratio?
TIA

you can mix them but i don't know the ratio. For a flat color it's about 1:1

I change the ratio depending on what I,m painting. Molded black plastic parts or leather interiors on real cars are more shiny than, say, semi gloss paint on a car. For black plastic I mix about 2/3 gloss black with 1/3 flat black. If I want to simulate black paint, I use about 1/2 and 1/2. If you mix the gloss level on interiors or engine bays that have a lot of semi gloss black, it makes it more interesting to the eye.
