Will someone please tell me that there are clear taillights (not just clear corners) out there for a 91 Civic??? I already went to the forum for lighting...but they don't know anything...so I figured I'd try my luck here.....anyway, any info. would be much appreciated!!!!! :icesangel

Do you mean for a Civic 2dr hatchback or a civic 4dr.?
Also, what year is your civic? Is it 88-89? or is it 90-90?
I believe there are clear tailights available for all civics and crxs. But they are hard to come buy now. They sorta got phased out a couple of years ago partly because they are not DOT approved and VERY illegal.
Try Ebay, but get the correct yrs for your vehicle.
Also, I have a set of clear taillights that will fit any 90-91 civic HB or CRX..if ya want em let me know

The actual 'clear' tail lights aren't in production anymore, because they're not exactly legal to have on your car cause there's no red reflector.
You can still find them on Ebay though, most of the time, I always see some up there for sale.

Yah...I should've said that too. I wouldn't get those if i were you cuz first of all, they're are very old and second of all, I'd hate to see you gettin pulled over and tickets for some stupid taillights. It's not worth it. If you want something different than everyone else, just get some JDM ones or you can get some altezza style which come in many styles like chrome, black, carbon fiber, etc.

oh, and I want something nice for the lights that will go with an Invader body kit.....so if not clears then any suggestions would be nice. I'm so close to finishing this damn car its not even funny anymore....so much work has been put into it.....

JDM ones are also just as usless, they are not DOT approved as they do not have reflectors built in as the USDM ones do.
Same with a lot of Altezzas, even though they have red in the taillight doesn't make them legal. Make sure they're DOT approved.

yah....it should be engraved into the bottom of the taillight "SAE DOT approved" and also have the DOT number after that.

In a sense, but not nessicarily. 91 USDM and JDM Civics came with all red tails.. Previous years had red with the amber signal light.
The difference between JDM and USDM is:
1) JDM doesn't have reflectors built in like USDM
2) On the JDM taillights the signal light wraps all the way around the corner of the light covering the whole corner and side, on the USDM tails on the sides of them the signal is divided off so there can be a sidemarker there in place.
