Possibility of a GT4??

Do you think there's gonna be a GT4?? If so, what do ya'll think the possibilities are of it coming out for X-Box too???

OOps sorry guys, should have searched around on the net before I posted. Looks like it's not gonna happen :cry: Damn! I really wanted it for the XBox. And the Sega GT 2002 that the Xbox IS coming out with looks like it's gonna suck. Look at the cars that are in it for crying out loud!!!

How can any Gran Turismo game come to the Xbox, if the series is a product of SCEI, aside from also being from Polyphony Digital?

How can you say that about the Sega GT 2K2 photo above?! That's the famed Prince C10 Skyline GT-R up front, followed by the venerable Mazda RX-3, and the pre-Supra Celica; the 3 greatest japanese sports cars of the golden era (less one Z-car). These cars you see before you led to the awe inspiring grand tourers you see today. Do not disrespect! :silly2:

GT4 is coming, I have this on good authority from someone with in the industry.

Have you seen this upgrade or what ever it is. It's the Gran Turismo game but the cars are all concept cars. Cool huh? :confused:

Latest I heard was GT4 WILL becoming out, but not for the PS2!!! GT4 will come out for PS3. PD has released GTC (Gran Turismo Concept) which is a "Collector's Edition", which of right now is only released in Japan. It features all the concept cars that were at the car shows this year.

There was also a rumor that there was going to be a Gran Turismo Professional for the PC. But now Sony is denying the rumors.

And about Sega 2002, the graphics aren't that bad, they've got some nice cars, but the cars look like they were Photoshopped or something. Give me Gran Turismo anyday.

I've read it's suppose to come out around the end of 2003 or early 2004.

GTN (Gran Turismo Network) is also on it's way which features Online play.

And what a huge business mistake that would be. It took PD what seemed like an eternity to adapt to the PS2's new hardware. Why would they jump ship after all that progress and move on to a new console? Think about it... PS2 is still relatively young; when PSX came out, Gran Turismo didn't show up in stores for quite awhile. Then after even more time passed, PD came back for more with GT2. Does the PS2's shelf-life really seem that fleeting? On top of all this, PD's hottest current news is revolving around online racing. PS2's online capabilities will be brought out with a rampage, especially with best-seller series products like Final Fantasy XI, which is also destined for the cyberworld. Does it seem likely that PD will pass up a chance like this? Of course, speculation will always just be that, but logic provides a decent outline of what the future has in store for PS2.

And how many people here have Hard drives, Key bourds, USB add ons like scanners printers, Digi cams etc, and are using thier PS2 to surf the internet?
There are still lots extra features for the PS2 that have not yet been released, it has a long furture ahead of it, and I can see it (and similar consols) replacing the PC for basic tasks like Gaming, and internet surfing.

I know it sounds ridiculous that GT4 will come out in 2003 on a PS3. That means the PS2 was only out for 3 years. If they bring out GT4 on a PS3, I will be very pissed off. I shelled out $320 for a PS2, I don't need a PS3 quite yet.

Now they are saying it's coming out in 2003 for the PS2.

On-line racing capablities will be included. Hopefully AI will be A LOT BETTER!! And more cars on track is a must.

Then we can talk about adding more cars to the game, or drag racing, NOS, and such crap.

Also Europe is getting Gran Turismo Concept. Only it will be named differently, and it is said to feature the European concepts.

People are now starting to think that Gran Turismo Concept will come out for the US, probally named differently like the European version, and it will feature the American Concept cars.

Now that definite plans for Gran Turismo Online are set, we won't even need to worry so much about AI. Real people always make the best competitors (as long as there aren't any freaks who decide to go backwards on the track!). I can't wait until BroadBand is released here; FFXI, SOCOM, and all the future online goodness will be here soon!

That's true Morpheus, but GT4 just won't be all about online racing, so they still need to improve AI a whole lot.

Man, just GT3 made me get PS2. And it's not like I could afford one either, I just tried not to spend too much money on other frivolous things, and eventually made enough to get the PS2 GT-pack. Oh yeah and another thing, GT3 is now available for $19.99 as a PS2 "greatest hits" game. Get that PS2 before Gran Turismo goes online!

Not sure exactly what T.O. stands for, for location, but, Walmart, Toys R Us, Target, none of those stores have normal PS2s? By now Sony has plenty of PS2s for everybody, if you still can't get one, then go here:

They should have Grand Turismo let u buy more aftermarket parts and they should have a street racing challenge that just have a flat long street without no turns.

Well a flat straight with no turns is pretty much a drag strip.

Besides street racing is against the law, they most likely wouldn't add stuff that is illegal.

If GT4 comes out, it would be awesome. They couldn't do much better than GT3. Still, it will be cool if it does. Actually they can make GT4 EVEN BETTER than GT3. Adding more cars, more tracks, even more detailed stuff, and other neat ideas. I've read rumors that GT4 will be the last GT on the PS2, probably not the last GT just the last GT on the PS2.

Oh BTW keep the smilies to a minium please, that gets annoying. :)
