those are really good man. i think u forgot the rims on the first car and the skyline. the 3rd from the last or the open wheeled car is really smooth. are u proffesional, cuz ur drawings are pretty tight.

Those look really good :iceslolan
They look like a good balance between time and detail.
I mean they look excellent they don't look like they took forever to draw.

Can you share a little bit about how you did them?

Have you tried stumps or tortillions for blending?

My fav. drawings are the GT 500E :) got it right this time and BMW.

Take care and welcome to the forum

WOOOOOOHAAAAA!!!

those are the a big part of the nicest drawings ive ever seen!!!

Can you please tell me what you used to draw these cars?

ilov2xlr8

first of all, you need a good model: a good angle, nice details, and a good contrast.

for example: lotus 340r
http://www.340r.net/pictures/ollie/nearside.jpg

once its done, try to draw the principal lines (take your time cause its the hardest part) the proportions must be prefect.

if you want to make a costum bodykit os something like that, now is the time.

Once its done, draw the headlamp. dont press too hard on your pencil.
when you are glad whit it, add contrast (now its time to press on the pencil) until its the same as the pic.

Start drawing the body and do the same for the rest of the car

use a klenex to remove all imperfections (but dont use it where there is a lot of detail) now that's as soft as baby skin, take an eracer and erace where the light is. Darker where the shadows are.

thats it.

i will do a viper and scan it on every steps.

Very nice thx for sharing

If you just use tissue try stumps and or tortillions you may find them useful. Just a tip take, it for what it is worth.

Excellent work. :bigthumb:

... he didnt draw a ferrari. i think ur thinkin of the porsche carrera gt? yes there is no rear view mirror or or side mirror on the left side. o yeah, i think the mirrors on your shelby gt500 are too small.

do u trace or use the grid technique or look at a picture and just draw it or what?

ilov2xlr8
12-23-2003, 11:21 PM
i use an other technique.
take the original picture and place it over about 10 other sheets. Take a pencil and draw the lines on the original pics. it will appear on the next 2 or 3 sheets.
You can also put alot of pen on the back side of the picture and trace ( it will do like carbon paper)

jordanmc2399
12-23-2003, 11:38 PM
so u trace the car and then u just shade it?
