i was out street racing when there was a wreck at 140 and the guy flew off into a field and bent his frame. he is fine but he had a huge list of violations from the police. and one of them was illegal parking on a lawn, it was a $100 fine and the guy with the wrecked firebird thought it was funny. i did to, his car is all bent up on a field and they give him a ticket for illegal parking. that shows another way that cops get really pissed when people street race.

I hate to say it, but they have there reasons for cops hating it. Such as people crashing at 140 mph. But what ever, I guess I cant talk :)

I got a better one.
There is a restaurant that turns into a nightclub after 8pm.
The 94th Bomb Group in Farifiled NJ. It is part of a franchise that has
WWII aviation as a motief, and a few old Jeeps & REO trucks on the lawn as decoration. The pkg lot only holds about 90 cars, but there are
many grassy areas at the outskirts. Some of the customers with SUVs
would park on the grass & the managment never complained. Well one day I came out to find a $50 ticket for "parking on lawn" (fire zone was olnt $40 BTW). I called the town clerk to complain. It seems the town council voted to give police the right to write tickets on private property.
(you can get a ticket for parking one wheel on your own grass)
Isnt that against the state & federal constitutions?
Anyways, I brought up the jeeps & trucks (also on the lawn). She said those are decorative not functional. Well legally I dont see a differance? BUt a lawyer would have cost me more than the $50. So I just wrote 'em a check.

oh great, they gave cops more power, just what they need. i would think they have to give you a warning or something before giving tickets.

my friend wrecked his 92 lude when he hit a curb doing like maybe 70 the back end jumped up like 8ft in the air and the front end hit a light pole spun the car around and it landed perfectly on a row of bushes he cleared like a 10 foot gap of grass and landed on the bushes. the cops gave him a ticket for wreckless driving, destruction of property and one for having a broken headlight. he had no front end on his car and the light pole had some red paint on it. thats some bs he still fighting the wreckless driving ticket.

In Fort Worth, if ANYONE parks in your yard(easement, usually first 15ft or so from the curb) it is legal because it is (public right of way) The COPS won't ticket them. Code Enforcement will come and ticket you because the car is not on a paved surface! What a crock! I even had a backhoe parked in my front yard(30+ feet from a curb). They chained it to one of my trees.Ran over sprinkler system in the yard/etc. Cops said, just have it towed off. It's a 1/2million dollar place, not a trailer park!

Ahh, When I lived down in by my school in southern va, us and our neighbors shared a driveway. One day the driveway was completely full and the street was full with people doing two hour parking (even though I had a decal to park on the street). I just went ahead and parked in our front lawn. An hour later, I'm walking outside to class when theres a cop over my fiero. "You can't park on YOU'RE lawn" (I even asked our landlord and she said she didn't care). My neighbor had ONE wheel on his lawn, the rest were on his driveway, the cop wrote him a ticket too. Sometimes cops can just be dicks...

Wait a second. Let me get this straight...
Someone parked a backhoe in the middle of your yard? What on earth would make them think that's acceptable?

that's an asshole thing for cops to do. i guess they just don't have anything better to do in some areas. realizing that cops are people too and they are just doing their jobs and trying to feed their families, they really are just out doing their jobs and enforcing the laws; even though some of the laws that they enforce are extremely shitty ones

Wow a parking ticket for parking on your own yard. Thats unheard of in the area I live in. Or atleast it hasn't happened to our family yet anyways. We live here in the city and the house we live in the driveway is only big enough for one car. On the normal day we have about 3 cars at the house. So we park one of the cars in the driveway and the other one between the drive and the house, then the other between the drive and our shed. In the summer time parking isn't a problem, we just park the other two cars in the road. But yea that is total bs, they shouldn't be allowed to give tickets for parking on your own yard.

i could see if it was in a public area like a parking lot but at your house that sounds more like a cop looking for a reason to fuck with someone. i have 5 cars parked at my house 2 in the drive way, and the other 3 park in the lawn. never had a problem. parked up on the grass one day at school they made me move it but didnt try to give me a ticket. but cops just look for anything to give someone a hard time about.
