Hey guys, I was wondering if you can help me with replacing the headlight bulbs in a 1990 taurus. I cant reach the harness from inside the engine compartment and I was wondering do I have to unscrew the lens to gain access? For such a simple thing I am having a hard time figuring this one out. Thanks for your help

I am also having trouble figuring this one out. Did you ever get the answer? I'm debating taking it in and paying someone to figure it out, but I want to give it a good try before I give up. Thanks in advance.

I have a 96 Taurus instead, but if your 90 is similar, then be ready to either skin up your hands and knuckles trying to get to the bulbs and replace them or pull the whole assembly or take it to the garage...I recommend the last choice....What a "non-better" idea Ford had there....

Jdc1rone you are right. I found out that I have to squeeze my hands thru the wires to access the right bulb and remove the heavy battery for the left side and try to squeeze my hand in. I was lucky with the right side after 30 minutes of trying but on the left side after being able to take the bulb out after another 30 minutes I couldnt twist the retaining ring back on. Ford made a big design mistake with these headlights.
