Is anyone interested in taking over the G20.net website? Serious inqueries only. There is some financial obligation, like the domain needs to be renewed in Feb and the hosting cost are about $6/month.

If anyone is interested please let me know. I don't think I'll let G20.net die but I can't afford the time right now to keep it updated. :(

Wow, sorry to hear that.

I am currently working on a g20 site, but if you are serious, I will take the offer. I have a lot of time on my hands and plan to keep this site up and to the minute.

The domain name has been registered for how long and what company that is currently hosting you?

Will you let me keep the layout you have now? I will change a few things around.

It's hosted with Pair networks and the domain is registered till Feb 2002. So you can probably move it to a different provider at that time.

You can do whatever you'd like with the site but I'd like to keep the basic idea the same. No membership fees, no ads, etc.

I'd still like to help out writing articles and stuff.

yeah no problem,

Will I have to pay the registration fee ($70) in february or will it just be the hosting fee ($6) a month.

my plans are to keep the site the same. I am going to stay with pair as $6 is one of the cheapest for hosting.

I am at the pair site. Do you have the FTP plan? If you do, they say it the $6 covers the registration fee as well, so there won't be a registration fee. If you have any questions, you can contact me at [email protected]

Well there actually seems to be quite a bit of interest in there. What I might do now is keep this more open and we can have a number of contributing 'editors'.

How would people be interested in keeping a 'section' updated?

ahh man, I had planned for G20.net windshield decal along with many more goodies such as graphic cards :(

I might have to go back to working on my site.

Hey you can count me in on helping with the site. I can place it under my account with one of my hosters, he is a friend of mine and to date hasnt charged me a dime for the hosting (www.ksofttech.com).

Ive got 200M of space but that will dwindle with some of the music artists I do web design for. (Damn MP3's)....So to make a long story short, I could host it (pay registration fees), and possbily give access to contributors (but that will be a very small group, and will depend if I can get individual FTP access) for updates.....Here is a list of sites that ive done or contributed too...

www.natay.com - www.starnayea.com - www.yahnozha.com (my design site) - www.tonemah.com (in production) - www.longbowguitars.com - www.tribalstew.com (initial design) -

And the mother of them all - www.customsteel.com - if you havent seen it, this is a really large site, complete with online ordering and stuff...my baby (aside from the G)

Peace...

G20.net graphic cards?

Anyway you can still do all that, I'm just thinking making it more of a community run site.

That sounds great!

What does everyone else think of this? I have no problem donating more money to G20.net but I wouldn't mind creating a 'staff' that keeps regular updates and articles coming.

I'd like to here some more imput. :)

I'm definitely up for that...I've been moderating a few forums on npclub.com and would be a pleasure to do that on G20.net ;)

Community effort rocks Jason let's do that!

I'm leaving today for my x-mas 'holiday'. So let me think about the best way to do this and I'll post something after the new year.

Whish you the best of Luck Jason, G20.net has been for me and I know many newcomers a vital source of information. It’s also good to see all the support you are being offered. The best to all of you and keep the site running it will help a lot of people and further the research on making G20 one of the finest and pleasing cars to drive! :sun:

About your "staff", what did you have in mind and what qualifications are you looking for? I'd like to help out if I can.

Hey if your interested I would like to write some articles on me and my G auto-xing. I could get together with other G owners that race and write up some tips and experiences we get from racing. Just let me know.

If you submit a nice imformative article or writeup that's all the qualification you need.

Alrighty then. So whats going on with this?? Ive got the space and can host the baby. A couple of things here tho, I talked with my webserver and I can set up an anonymous FTP, so "contributers" can submit stuff to be posted in seperate file in a .txt format so I can post when I get the time (assuming we move it to my server) Or they can just email me the stuff, either way will work. I can set up the site to be similar to the existing one, or if anyone has any ideas to the layout throw them out. Just so you all know, I am in the middle of moving my business to a new location over the next three months, so I will not have a whole lot of time to devote to this, but after that it will be all good. either way let me know....
