There way to hard to find around here...if I dont find one in a few days I'm just gonna get a eclipse rs...and make it a rs-t in the future...damn it why do s14's have to be so hard to find. Well atleast I got a $150.00 s13 out of this quest...

only around 50-60k produced I think. Compare that to the millions upon millions of Civics and accords produced.

Yeah, DSM's blow ass.

i am offended
dsm are great
the rs sucks ass
get a gsx\gst they are faster turbo out the box and can handle up to 22psi on a stock block with the proper fuel managment. with only 4g's invested into a gsx you can easily do low13' high 12's easily..
but be warned they arent the best handlers.. the 240sx is way better for handling but a dsm will own a 240 at the 1\4 mile lol
dont sleep on dsm..

It's winter so there are less for sale...If you find one in the fall/winter usually you can get them for a discounted price compared to a similar example of one in the spring or summer...especially if the person really needs to get it off their hands (ie needs money, is leaving for college/military, decided they need a better car for winter driving, etc). Also sometimes there just aren't a lot of 240s for sale...other times I see quite a few...all it takes is for 4 or 5 less 240s to be for sale to make it look like they are really rare.

If you really want one then keep looking for a few more months and look outside the radius you are looking now. Set some minor limits and maybe be a little less strict about some requirements...that should weed out the really bad examples, but make more 240s available to you as possible choices.

An S14 is pretty easy to get ahold of...now if you are looking for an F288...then you're shit out of luck since less than 100 were built...

don't give up on your search for the s14. It took me 6 months to find a good one. DSM's are nice, but if I was to get one then the only ones that would interest me would be the GST or the GSX. Definately skip the RS though....

Just keep searching on checking all the forums and one will eventually pop up.

Yeah man, I was very lucky when I found my baby. I had just almost given up looking, and BAM! found it. It came outta nowhere. It was the most random find, and as soon as I found out the guy lived near me (2 hour drive) then I flipped and called him asap.

I still tremble when I think of how somebody else could have gotten it.

I'v been looking on every auto web site there is that I know of...looking within a 75mil radius around me, posted on every local car forum... I'v just been out of luck, I was thinking of that rs, being that I was gonna get a decent deal on it, but someone ...gave me alot of info on the eclipse that I didnt know....I looked into a few domestics just to get me around that look decent...no luck, as far as ...wait a long while later, I start my college classes..in january and I dont know if my s13 will be ready by then....but I'll keep up the search, hey spindrift where do you live man? If it's anywhere remotly around me, you got a deal I think as long as the cars aight.

id say skip the GS-T too. If your saying you would rather have a turbo fwd car over a rwd turbo 240sx u got probs hehe

well, the later model DSM's are very attractive cars, but the engines and trannies suck. Sure it's easy to make them fast, but you better have a bugdet if something were to go wrong. And plus, the engine faces the wrong way. :D

where do you people get that dsm aren't realiable? is there some romor going around that says the engins go? for you info the 4g63 is a cast iron block not aluminum it is very strong and does't break the internals are forged componients thats why they can handle up to 22psi on a stock bottom end.. yes some times the crank shaft go on 2g's dsm but otherwise there is no problems i know people with 12's or better dsm that are daily driven and have over 100k and still going stong..

um aren't dsm's rwd or 4wd(gsx)?

Mr7

Honestly I'v just allways have been a fan of s14's well the 95-96 anyway I have nothing against the later years but I think the 95-96's look very refined and it has really decent tq for a 4 cyl.....I dont think I could pimp a rx7...it's just not me, the only reason I remotely considered the eclipse was because of the price and figured I could daily drive it for a while.

The gsx is 4wd, but the rest are fwd as far as I know anyway.

37k shipped between 95-98?

Any idea who could verify that?

^There was a thread posted by Dorikin about it a few months ago...it had amounts for each year...I'm pretty sure it was accurate...you can pm him about where he got it...I know there weren't many S14 state-side

Definitely look in a larger radius...I've been looking for one in a 300mile radius about...200-250 is decent to look at...for an uncommon car you must look over 100 miles away usually, unless you are an area with lots of imports like socal...

Mitsu doesn't like rwd I guess...
