All i could find for my rex that was cheap were some oem metal fenders which I was told were for a CRX. When they got here, I put em on, and something wasn't quite right....there's about a half inch gap between the bumper and the bottom of the fender(right behind the corner light)....can I use a civic HB bumper to fix this or what??? Plus there's no place for my plastic side trim crap....which I don't mind too much at all!!

yeah it bolts on fine, but like you said, theres no place to put the stock side skirt pieces, and the bumper doesnt match up. the concerns you will have is that you will need to swap the front bumper and all the bumper supports for a proper fit. that includes the bracket that connects the fender to the frame to the headlight to the bumper. and you are gonna need new corner lights

you just cant swap the fenders, the crx has a different corner light design then the civic does

sure will. they bolt up, considering both cars use the same chassis design. i have a CRX front end on my hatch, everything bolted up fine, but you will need to make sure you have all the pieces.
i used the following:
CRX bumper support
2 CRX fenders
2 CRX corner lights
2 CRX bumper to frame to headlight to fender brackets (the weird little thing that attached all of them to each other)
1 CRX front bumper (i went aftermarket with mine)
of note, you will have a gap at the bottom of the crx fender, since the crx fender has that little plastic sideskirt. i covered the gap with an aftermarket sideskirt, so it wasnt an issue. but on a stock looking car, its gonna present a problem.
going with a civic front end on a CRX can be done in the opposite way, but the value of it is way less. not only will the fenders not have the little sideskirt to match the rest of the CRX, but you will have to use that stupid filler piece between the headlights and bumper, and that thing gets dented too easily. another thing, the civic hatch doesnt have as many options for aftermarket corner lights or front bumpers. just some things to think about
