I have an original 70 Monte Carlo with the 350 in it. The breather says 350 turbo (which I think is the transmission) and 250 horse power. It has the original 2 bbl carb. I have a nice electronic ignition in it, Taylor 8mm wires, headers straight into dynomax mufflers. I am putting on a Edelbrock 600 and a 0-5500 Edelbrock intake on this week. The engine has 74,000 original miles on it . It leaks or burns no oil. It is pretty strong. After the 4bbl install, how much Horse Power might I pick up?? Thanks!!

I'll be generous and say 100 at most.

You should put the car up on a "dyno" to find out what kind of power you're getting at the back tires. Then replace the carb and intake and put it back on the dyno, and see what happens. 100 horsepower more is definitely generous. I'd say 50 would be more realistic.

Dynostics testing. It's hard to say though unless it is tested or taken to a machine shop. A Holley carb and intake would give you more power though.
