In the down time from the Datsun 510 (while I am getting the body prepped with windows and panel lines) decided to crack open a new kit from joeclaw!

R32 Network. Real nice, simplified curbside model. decided to paint it Light blue metallic (network color) not sure about applying network decal theme, though... think I am going to follow my own theme on this one.. going to use some 19's aoshima rims.. haven't decided which ones yet...

So here is the pic. freshly painted body.

Also started working on some odd bits and ends... like the seat. Ditched the poorly molded Bride seats and decided to go with the Sparco Torino and 5 point harness.

Going to use these brakes too..

So what do you think?? suggestions?

Thanks,

Looks impressive.

The only thing I would like to see changed is the lowest strap of the seatbelt as it should come through the middle of the horisontal part of the seat, and not go all the way to the front edge (hope my explanation is understandible).

This is a street version.

ales - I understand what you are saying.. but I think I am a little late now, since everything had been glued together :( Next time though.

looks good, the paint is nice, but my only question is, why is there seat belt buckle thingy's on the straps that are coming out of the back of the seat>? I have never used these P/E seat belt peices Before so maybe this is just one of those :screwy: questions

Nice, is that M3 painters masking tape for the straps of the belts?

great work so far,I agree to the seat belt but its really a good seat! You do a good paint job on your R32.I think, for your wheels, take 18 inch because in real, a bigger wheels make bigger pounds to push. When you use, like 19 or 20 and higher inch, the car need more power to go faster.but Its my opinion

I agree with ToyotaGT1 about the wheel size, espescially with the stock brakes. Not only will it be harder to go, but with all that rotational mass rotating, you'll need some bigger stoppers to slow the thing (theres the real danger in big wheels!) Otherwise, great work. That seat looks awesome. Where did it come from? And your seatbelts look great. What photo etch are you using?

Oh, and SonyMobile, those aren't the buckles, they are anchors that are used to attach the belts to anchor points around the body (to the frame). If you looked at the bottom of your seatbelt in your car and pulled the rubber cover up or off, you would see a very similar anchor in your daily driver.

Willimo,

I am upgarding the brakes too ;) The seat was midified from the Sparco WRC seat, to immitate Torino. The harness is photoetch Detail Master items.

The seat belt is indeed Painters tape, blue.

tazdev - how did you deal with the interior? I was more of a street car, rather then a one seat bracket racer.. did you fill in the interior tub or left it as is (race prep)?

joecclaw - thanks man, I got the kit fine, forgot to email back to say I got it, decided to work on it right away.

zcaithaca - I will show you pics of the pe tree if you want.

Great, thanks for actually answering my question and not calling me an idiot, I love the color, and the whole thing period. I wish my LHS would actually stock half decent kits like this..

I left mine in the race spec as a typical Japanese Street drag car that are so common to come out of Japanese tuning companies

edit: Those wheels look primo man nice detailing.

The interior looks hot.

I was just wondering, how do you paint your rims? They always seem to be just perfect, and when I try it, doesn't turn out so well.
