Ok, I'm new the the whole Honda thing, I'm a DSM guy. I was just asking for some advise on building a 1996 Civic Hatchback. Just curious as to how much insurance is and how much the actual car will cost me. I'll eventually drop in a B16a, I do believe is what is was, and do other JDM upgrades. Please tell me what not to do, or what to look for when I go looking for the car. And first mods....no ricer crap either, all sleeper!
My ultimate goal: B16 with Greddy/Mitsubishi turbo kit! woo! big20g. :evillol:

Is there a such thing as a '96 Civic Si hatchback with the b16 already in it?

Just sedans, I think. If your looking for big hp #'s then I would recomend the B18a or B20, with a vtec head. Definately go turbo though, and that 20g will rock. Good luck!

Not in the states, but yes there were VTis (Europe) and SiR's (Japan) with B16A2's stock.

When you say b-20 with vtec head, is that the b20 from a crv (or some honda suv) with a b16 or b18 head? i feel stupid asking this , but i need to learn somehow. Thanks!
