hi everybody once again i was fooling around with my car and i noticed something. Well here's the story i was draggin this white bmw 3 series and when i floored it at 1st as soon as it hits 7000 the car jerks crazy!! does anybody have an answer for me because it might be a serious problem thank you all

first time happening?? if not i would have this checked...flooring a specv is fine but redline is 6000rpm and unless you have proper mods to extend your redline to 7000rpm then this could cause problems for your car...especially if you consistently drag in the "red"....they put the "red" on the tach for a reason....check www.hpautoworks.com i believe they have the mods needed to extend the rev limit in the specv

To my knowledge there is no mod or ECU out right now that will extend the rev limiter for the 2.5 QR25DE engine. Like mreff said...redline right now is 6250. So if you are taking the car to 7000 rpm's in first gear then you are a moron. If you can find something that expands the rev limiter on the 2.5 please let us know...it will be news to us all.

You nailed the rev limiter. It doesn't do any damage (well not any more than bringing it up to the redline in the first place), it's the car's way of saying you need to shift.

Yes, you nailed the rev limiter nearly 1000 rpm into redline with no plans of shifting :screwy:
