I think i put powersteering fluid in my brake fluid tank on one of my old trucks. What would happen if i were to run it and use the brakes? You think some bad will happen or break cuz i guess it would save me money to drive it down to get it fixed than toed.

how much did u add? thr reserve tank if i am not mistaken is not actually cycleing through the system, it is there to ensure that there are no air bubbles and to bleed the system. you should fix it it get it fixed asap but as long as you dont stomp on the brakes you should be alright till then

Customer did that once - power steering in master. We had to replace the almost the entire brake system per American Honda.

You need to bleed your system, and replace all the fluid with brake fluid.

Call the dealer(whatever) your truck is, if they say replace all the parts, then repalce them. Power Steering & Brake fluid don't mix.

No, thats a serious problem. They are both hydraulic oils but brake fluid is either polyalkalene glycol, or silicone based. Power steering fluid is Petrolium based. Petrolium will eat through the seals which are made for sythentic oils. Get a vacuum pump or whatever, be creative, get the fluid out of the resivior, then blead the whole system, make sure to start with the right rear wheel. watch carefully for any black fluid. If you don't see any you may be ok, but I'd still flush that that system really good.
