Top Gear F1 Video

just got this video and WOW!

i was amazed, just the sheer power of this car unleashed in the experienced hands of Tiff Needell. The car tested was the XP4 with license plate K6 MCL. he starts out with the specs of the car, and what nought, but about 3/4 of the way through the video, he gets to the good part.....driving it on the track.

as soon as he accelerates out of the pit, you can tell how much fun he's having. this man has had experience with driving cars, but he seems amazed. you can also tell how hard a time he is having talking, the sheer G forces exerted on him appear to be equal to a roller coaster....I can almost feel how powerful the engine is. the grumble and roar of it under full throttle......excellent........

even though i had previously believed it wholly, seeing this video has reinforced my ideas about just how FAST this car IS!! truly the fastest in the world

if u guys know how i (or maybe one of you) could host a link for this video, i would be glad to put it on the internet....it deserves to be shared

Im a Tog Gear fan(if u couldn't tell by the handle) but i've never heard of the video! To be honest, i just started watching top gear recently(about 3 months ago)...but if you can tell me where to get this video, and more if they are available...please let me know! :naughty:

Well the clip is from an episode of Top Gear in 1993 so not too surprising you haven't seen it. You'll find it on just about any of the P2P networks (Kazaa, eMule etc). A lot has change since then - not least the Goodwood circuit - but its about the best piece of F1 roadcar film you can find.

Nice to see Tiff enjoying himself as only an ex-grand prix driver knows how, better than that twat Clarkson anyway!

For me its worth it every time, just to hear the noise and then see him lighting up the rear tyres at about 60 mph coming out of the chicane before the main straight. Classic.

its on racingflix too, but the average d/l speed without the premium membership is about 7kbs

Hey, I had a long chat with Tiff Needell last week...he said the McLaren's steering is a bit vague under the limit, then gets a bit twitchy at high speeds unless the road is very smooth, but he loved driving it, and it was one of the most memorable cars he had ever driven. He also loves TVRs!!!!

Oh man, that video is amazing. I waited a few hours to download it and then after it was over i tryed to play it again but it said there was some fatal error. Oh well. I'll download it again and see what happens.

EDIT: After waiting 3 hours, it was 85% done and then some thing popped up and said the connection was lost (even though I never went off the internet) and the download box totally disappeared. Oh well, I only just sucked up 6 hours and only managed to watch a total of 9 minutes of video.

Actually that's pretty cool. Even better than simply meeting Tiff would be going for a ride in an F1 with him driving. Maybe when tvrfreak gets one he can invite Tiff over to drive it. I doubt he'd pass up another opportunity.
