89 Seville hard start when cold

My 89 seville is hard to start first in the morning. Once it has warmed up once during the day it will start right away. It recently had this problem and wouldn't start for 6 days. It is gettiing fuel and spark and once running it has plent of power. It seems to flood or lose compression but I haven't tested for these. The car has 221000 but the same problem seems to occur on the neighbor's Deville with the same engine and 100000 less miles.

not sure on your model of car but i had the same problem on my 96 seville and it was fuel pressure regulater
