cable to hydro conversion. hmmm question!

hey I want to put the d16z6 in my 91 civic hb and use the d16z6 tranny as well. Does anyone know if there is a kit or what all I would have to do to get this to work correctly? Thanks. website, price etc that would be GREAT! thanks in advance!

I believe hasport www.hasport.com has a hydro trans conversion kit. I have not heard too much about it though. I bought my y8 with a trans as well and wanted to use it but it wound up being easier to sell it on ebay ($250) and buy a 91 Si trans...bolts right up... quick as hell too....

Hasport makes a B series cable to hydro conversion kit. If you buy it you will still need to make a custom transmission mount to mount the trans to the 4th gen chassis.

I wanted hydo because my gf is a baby and doesn't like the cable style lol and since it's her daily driver well yanno :)

I dunno I guess she said the hydro tranny is more smooth and forgiving but I dunno. I can't really tell the difference all I can tell is that there is a difference and it takes me a second to get used to one or the other when I switch rides lol

the only upside to the hydro trans is the fact that its newer = less mileage most likely.

hydro trans has 0 adjustability, and you always gotta worry about replacing/rebuilding the cylynder when it starts to leak. cable trans is way more user friendly, and way simpler of a design.

and i dont really think the pedal feel has anything to do with it being a hydro clutch....its probably the friction disk/pressure plate combo difference between the 2 cars.

save yourself the headache and get an si trans....good luck
