Fujimi FC3S RX7

Anyone here build a RX7 FC by Fujimi before? I've had it with this kit! This one is the Initial D version which is the only time Fujimi has made an Infinte IV FC. BUT!! The bumper is totally incorrect, the front and side molding is all wrong, lines all over the body that's not suppose to be there, missing muffler placement hole (nice try Fujimi, but in Initial D, the car did have the hole even-thought it only has 1 muffler) The hole for the wiper blade is cover with a large piece of junk plastic, wrong ride height...too much to list...sorry, I'm being too picky.

So who has done this or a similar kit by Fujimi, I need help and Tips!!!

COol! FC website, thanks!!

Actually, this FC has gone throught hours of putty work..and it still looks crap. By hours I mean months of work.....everyday fixing it to discover new mistake on the model. I really will think twice about buying another Fujimi model.

Thanks for the help guys....had a tough day today. Sorry to sound so bitchy and annoying

but turbo86.. one question..

what do you mean by the stuff that came with the Fujimi FC is not correct? my kit is kind of strange.. it comes with A LOT of stuff man..

like 3 different bumpers, 2 spoilers, 2 sets of interiors with 4 sets of seats, 2 sets of mirrors..

one of the mirrors are like the one in the real white FC picture too...

pkw1

ok, I did a bit of research on the net and my Initial D VCDs on the FC...

the bumper is a tad bit different, can easily be modified..

the mirrors look exactally the same..

bodymolding lines .. well, I'm really unsure on that one.. in Stage one.. the body molding lines stick out more, in stage 2, they're more curved in.. so i'm not sure which is more accurate.. just make what every you like i guess.. since it's a cartoon.. things are not all accurate all the time..

light lences shapes, those are easily modified too.. puttying and cutting will make it cool :)

the muffler hole can be just cut out on the missing side.

"MAZDA" logo in the front.. just carve it in with a knife.

and lastly.. the stickers that go on the door.. those are COMPLETELY WRONG.... :o gonna be fun trying to get that one right...
(watch me end up painting them in by hand... )

OH, and i'm gonna use RS WATANABE (from 2nd stage) rather then the white 5 spokes used in stage 1

Hey that's my plan (Watanabe wheels) =P Already have the Evo III completed, hehehe...Battle scene!
Stupid HLJ still haven't process my order..anyways
I'm pretty sleepy right now, so I can't go into details about the FC kit...yes it came with ALOT of extra stuff....just like you said. As for the mirror, the "arms" of it extend too much, I cut them short. Ride height is too high. I've refer to the cartoon, the comic, real car pictures and even magazines...maybe this is why I'm all confused now....all of them are different. But I trust the real car pics. We can both post up pics when we're done to see what we each think this car should look like.

BTW, the stickers are CORRECT(Comic version) The cartoon version, due to copyright issues, real tuner name could not be use....example: SPOON=SWING, get the picture?

If you need resources for this kit, I have some pictures and site. Just don't get confused like me

ok, a buddy of mine went and got the initial d FD3S(eairly version) model today... not the A-Spec one..

http://www.hlj.com/images/fuj/fuj18329box.gif

for those of you who think of buying this.. DON'T!!!

the rear spoiler is wrong, wheels are wrong, front under spoiler is some what off, and the front bumper is TOTALLY wrong.. they basically made the A-Spec one 1st, then modify it to make the regular one... if you really want a model of the eairly version FD3S by Keisuke, get a Tamiya FD then modify it to the Initial D one..

Thats why I dont buy Fujimi, I bouight one, a R32 GTS-T, it was lacking in so much detail and the plastics were so crap that i just chucked it in a drawer and i have never bought one since.

I guess i'm the only one who has had good results with Fujimi. My Evo V was a Fujimi Toghe series. The only problem i had with it was with the windshield wipers. The holes they attached to were too small, but that was easily fixed. Maybe Fujimi hates Initial D and wants to drive away all of it's fans by building crap models... i dunno...

Actually, I find fujimis cars as good, except for the interior, ex. door panels, like their civics, and Integras seem to go together good!
